Mayumi Reusable Period Pads consist of a bamboo charcoal top layer which is very soft and breathable. It is also padded with 2 layers of organic cotton for maximum absorption and eco-friendly PUL for its leak-proof protection.  It is recommended to use on light days to all night! Depending on one’s flow, it can absorb more/less than the indicated absorbency meter. Nevertheless; we still recommend replacing your underwear every 6 hours to prevent vaginal irritation or infection.

NOTE: We highly suggest doing a home test for the first 3 days of menstruation before going outside, for you to adjust to the new period environment.

  1. How do I care for my Mayumi Pads?

Washing your pads shouldn't be complicated, so we designed our products to be super easy to wash.

Step 1. Wash the pads before wearing for the first time for maximum absorbency during personal use.

Step 2. After use, rinse in cold water (<30°) until water runs clear.

Step 3. Wash in cold water (now or later) with mild detergent. Hand wash is great. Machine wash is okay.

Step 4. Hang to dry (preferably under the sun).

Note: Don't use softener or bleach as this can decrease the absorbency of the underwear's natural fiber. Never machine dry or iron.

  1. What are the differences between your menstrual products?

For light period, we recommend our Marikit 2-Layer Period Underwear. Other menstrual product’ support is needed.

For light to moderate period, our Maliya, Sinaya and Dihas Period Panties can stand alone as this can hold 20-30ml of menstrual fluid or equivalent to 1-2 sanitary pads.

For light to heavy period, the use our Mayumi Pads or Malaya Cup is highly recommended.

  1. Is it free of harmful chemicals?

Absolutely! We take our client's health and safety very seriously. This is why all of our products are made from safe and eco-friendly materials.
